Dear Monday, we are not friends. Love, Crystal!! ;)

Well, today was definitely a Monday. It wasn’t a bad day; it was just a Monday. Haha! I don’t know a better way to explain it than that. I’m sure you can all relate. I tried a delicious new drink today- the Naked Mighty Mango. Mmmm!

Crossfit was a good workout tonight. The gym is expanding and has almost doubled in size. It was nice today having enough room to spread out a bit more. I am also glad Tori got to see the changes and experience them before she moves. :) 

Tonight’s workout:
Strength: 7x3 EMOM front squat at 75% 1RM
WOD: 8 RFT
200 meter row
8 bar over burpees
2 deadlifts (as heavy as possible)

It was a good workout even though I felt like I was dying during it. Ha! I used 95 for my front squats. I know I could’ve gone higher here but didn’t want to push it. I did 185 for the deadlifts in the WOD and finished at 23:14. I’m happy with my time and weight. ;)

Sarah went with me today and did a good job as well. I’m so stinking proud of her! Yay!

What a fun-filled weekend! Beau and I went to the drag strip in Valdosta for the races. We had a blast, and he did a great job in the race. :) I got to hang out with his group of friends and really enjoyed them. Fun times!

It was extremely hard to eat healthy and be good while at the track, but I managed to do well overall. Beau was feeling bad because he knew he was throwing off my good eating habits. It was cute that he was concerned. I told him it was all good because if I’d been too concerned, I would’ve done better planning ahead and packing healthy. Ha! I’m back to being good today (even though I wasn’t that bad this weekend).

Well, it’s back to the grind today. I hope you all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY! ❤️

Skill – Full snatch from high hang 10 X 2 at 50% of 1 RM
WOD 7 RFT
5 full cleans 135/95
10 Box jumps 24/20
15 ab-mats

I used 55 for my snatch practice and felt like it was pretty easy. Snatches have a harder technique to them, but I really seem to be doing well with them. I went rx tonight and finished at 18:40. I’m good with this because the 95lbs got heavy quickly.

**Strength: 10 mins to find 1 RM strict press from floor 5/4/3/2/1…..
**WOD: 20 minute AMRAP 
With a continuously running clock, do one thruster the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three thrusters the third minute, and four pull-ups the fourth minute continuing in this pattern as long as you are able. If your pace falls behind the count, continue to alternate exercises while recording reps for a total of twenty minutes.
RX weight for thrusters 95/65
**Cool down 40 GHD sit-ups

My strict press stayed at 85 tonight, but I’m ok with that. The workout was quite taxing, but I managed to get 15+1 finished. There are so many things that I’m steady improving in, but there are also so many things that I still need to master. Sheesh. I’ll get there though. 

Well, I’ve got a hefty to-do list before bed, so I shall catch you all later. Have a GREAT night! ❤️

I’m still hooked on the fact that I actually did a Crossfit competition. Never in my life would I have thought I would ever be doing that. I’m so-so-so happy I did! Yay!!! Oh, but you best believe my body is some kind of sore today. Sheesh!!!

However, despite my soreness, I still went to Crossfit tonight. I actually had decided early on against going because it was an ALL running partner WOD, but my friend text me the picture of Gollum above along with begging me to go be her partner. How could I resist that?!?

Tonight’s WOD:
Strength: 4x10 front rack lunges at 75
4x10 GHRs
WOD: with partner for time:
2x100 meter sprints
2x200 meter sprints
2x400 meter sprints
2x200 meter sprints
2x100 meter sprints
***Each partner had to complete all runs listed. The total time for both was recorded.

Danielle and I predicted that we’d finish last, and I honestly expected it to take me 20+ minutes. I actually wouldn’t have been surprised if we reached 30 because I am so sore, tired, and hate running. Haha! Well, we ended up finishing at 19:02, and I was super impressed with my last sprint. I pulled out a bit of speed from somewhere on that one. Ha!

I ended up placing 14 out of 22 for the scaled women’s division. I’m perfectly happy with this being that it was my first competition, and I was a nervous wreck. Lol! I won 3rd place in round 1 and got a huge PR on front squats. My 1RM for front squats was 155, but today I got a 3RM of 165 and got 175 twice! The burpees and box step ups were killer because my legs were exhausted! But… I finished and I wasn’t last! Shoot, I was only 14! I’ll take it!

It’s a Starbucks kind of Friday!!! I tried out the “Blendicano” for the first time. It was delightful and a healthy choice. Yay!

So I’ve been kind of secretive, but I am doing my first crossfit competition this weekend. I’m scared I’m not going to do well and don’t want to broadcast that I’m doing one until I see how it goes. Haha! I know that’s my pride talking. I’m doing the scaled version and feel like I should do decently well. We will see about it tomorrow I guess. Haha! Wish me luck! I’m going to be über nervous!

What a family filled weekend!! I’m so glad I went to see them and spend some quality time with them. :) My cousin’s wedding was small, dainty, and sweet. I couldn’t be happier for him.

Mom and I went shopping and decided to be Charlie’s Angels in our interesting outfits in the fitting room. We had a blast, and I got some new cute clothes.
