Well, today has been a productive and laid back day. I just wish the sunshine would come back out for my last bit of summer. Rain, rain, go away! ☔️☀️
When looking the workout online last night, I didn’t think it’d be one I’d want to go to, but then again, I can’t imagine missing a workout called “Diddy Kong.” Haha! 🐵🐒🐵🐒
So… I went and it was hard. We started with am Olympic weightlifting class to work on our snatches. I’m pretty good at this lift but definitely called out today as an exemplar of what not to do. I honestly don’t think it was because I don’t know what to do; I think it was the fact that I was lifting 35lbs and felt like I was going to throw it through the roof. Lifting lighter weight can sometimes mess up my technique because it’s too easy. That’s just my opinion though.

The workout was pretty intense with the high weights being slung around. I went rx on the weights for the workout but had to scale the pull-ups because of my ripped hands- doggone it. Ha! A girl named Tori (not my roomy) and I were sharing our weights so it kind of slowed is down waiting on each other. I finished at 18:54 and technically should take some time off that since I started after her on the deadlifts.
Kyle, our coach, deadlifted 405lbs today!! What?!? That’s insane! I had to take pictures and a video to show Tori it could be done. Haha!
Today Tori (yes roomy) and I had a yummy lunch, went grocery shopping, prepped meals for next week, and are cooking an awesome dinner now. Hopefully it’s as good as it smells. Mmmm!!!
